LATEST POLL: Beto Within Margin Of Error; Likelihood Of Insurgent Victory Rises Against Ted Cruz, ‘The Most Hated Man In Congress’
A Quinnipac poll released on October 29 shows just a five point gap between Texas Senator Ted Cruz and his Democratic opponent, Beto O’Rourke, meaning O’Rourke could win with a narrow margin.
Men in the state are expected to vote for Cruz by 56 to 39 per cent, while women will vote for O’Rourke by 52 to 45 per cent.
It’s been 30 years since Texas sent a Democrat to the US Senate and odds continue to rise that this long dry spell will finally be quashed.
O’Rourke supports a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, opposes building a wall along the border with Mexico, and supports some gun-control measures.
